It’s a pretty exciting time for me and the members of my calligraphy guild. Last year we decided at a guild meeting that we were going to try to get a gallery showing of some of our work. I made an appointment with our local gallery director, gathered up examples of several members work, and took them into the gallery for him to examine.
He was fascinated with the calligraphy and books we showed him, and said “How about May of 2009″?
Well, it’s now April, 2009, and our show is almost upon us. We’ve been busily matting, framing, writing label information, guild history and press releases. We will be hanging the show starting April 27th, and our opening will be May1, 2009.
Very heady stuff!
I’ll try to post photos of some of the pieces I’m showing, as well as some of the other members works as we get closer to the big day.
